Des créateurs de mode rendent hommage à Michelle Obama

Des créateurs de mode rendent hommage à Michelle Obama

Monique Lhuillier, Carolina Herrera, Karl Lagerfeld, Diane von Furstenberg, Christian Lacroix, Zac Posen, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Oscar de la Renta et Rodarte ont créé des tenues pour la prochaine First Lady, Michelle Obama. L’idée est venue du magazine de mode Women’s Wear Daily, dans un article du 1er décembre intitulé « Michelle Obama : What Should She Wear? » qui les a sollicité pour imaginer une tenue pour la cérémonie d’investiture du 20 janvier 2009.

Tous les croquis sont visibles sur le site Internet, Wwd.com, du magazine. Certains créateurs tels Isaac Mizrahi ont également imaginé des robes pour ses deux filles Sasha et Malia Obama.

Diane von Furstenberg a quant à  elle imaginé un ensemble pour la journée et un autre pour le soir. Pour la journée, elle a dessiné un tailleur en jersey rayé jaune et blanc. Pour le soir, une longue robe portefeuille en jersey de soie rebrodée de sequins.
