L’année 2008 marque le 80ème anniversaire de la création de la maison « Salvatore Ferragamo », du nom du célèbre créateur italien de chaussures décédé en 1960. Une célébrité due à la création de modèles originaux comme les chaussures à semelles compensées en liège. Salvatore Ferragamo a également chaussé les plus grandes stars comme Ava Gardner, Audrey Hepburn ou Marilyn Monroe.
Pour l’occasion, une ligne hommage de chaussures et de sacs a été recréée, reprenant les modèles et matériaux historiques. Une édition limitée vendue au Dover Street Market de Londres en septembre.
Près de 50 ans après le décès de Salvatore Ferragamo, ses créations sont plus que jamais tendance. Les chaussres compensées sont l’accessoire indispensable de l’été 2008.
