La petite culotte Petit Bateau fête ses 90 ans, et rappelle pour l’occasion quelques chiffres sur concernant sa fabrication. Il faut par exemple 2 minutes et 36 secondes pour la fabriquer et 2.520 m de fil de coton pour la tisser. 3,2 millions sont produites chaque année et vendues à travers 200 pays.
La petite culotte a été créée en 1918 dans la manufacture de bonneterie de la famille Valton-Quinquarlet à Troyes, qui devient alors la marque Petit Bateau.
Au fil des ans, la marque a créé également des tee-shirts et de nouvelles matières comme la bouclette éponge ou velours, dans les années 1950 et 1960.
