Le créateur de mode britannique Gareth Pugh remporte le Prix international de l’Andam
Jeudi 26 juin, le designer britannique Gareth Pugh a obtenu le Prix international de l’Association Nationale pour le Développement des Arts et de la Mode (Andam). Ce prix est doté d’une somme de 150.000 euros permettant au lauréat d’organiser son premier défilé à Paris et de développer sa marque. Prestigieuse récompense remise à de jeunes créateurs talentueux, le Prix de l’Andam a compté parmi ses lauréats Viktor&Rolf en 1994 ou Véronique Leroy en 1991.
La remise du prix aura lieu le 3 octobre prochain, durant la semaine de la mode parisienne. Agé de 26 ans, Gareth Pugh est installé à Londres. Il a présenté sa toute première collection en 2006, devenant rapidement un des « chouchous » du magazine Vogue. La chanteuse Kylie Minogue l’a elle aussi remarqué, et porte ses modèles.
